Re: Compatibility with older versions TeamViewer is no longer completely backwards compatiable. A freind of mine tried to connect from TV13 or TV14 to TV10 and received a notice saying that the TV10 was too old and needed to be updated. TeamViewer as an organisation are being difficult and unfair to their users. Do you use Teamviewer but use an Older version? Like Version 1-9? (as of 1/23/2017) My short video will tell you how to find the links for the older TeamView. If you are only talking about outgoing connections: TeamViewer is downwards compatible. Therefor you can just have your TeamViewer 11 on your device and connect both to the TeamViewer 10 and TeamViewer 11 versions. Otherwise, you can download the normal TeamViewer 11 full version and the TeamViewer Portable for TeamViewer 10. Hope this helps you.
Teamviewer is very helpful when it comes to remote access. Even though lots of remote access tools are available. Teamviewer’s usability made it a popular remote access tool. Version 14 of Teamviewer has been released with new features and design. Even, if it is very helpful, it requires same version on the other computer to establish a remote or file access connection. If you want to connect to the computer, in that an older version is Installed (i.e. V 13) You won’t be able to make a remote access connection. From the situation, you got two option, either the old version should be upgraded to the same version you have, or you’ve got to downgrade the version on your computer. I must say instruction someone to upgrade may not be that simple if the other person is not tech savvy. Other reason to downgrade teamviewer is having licence of older version which does not work on newer version.
Older versions Sometimes, the latest version of an app may cause problems or not even work. While the developer is fixing the problem, try using an older version. If you need the previous version of TeamViewer Portable, check out the app's version history which includes all versions available to download.
